Passing numbers of survey prepared by Cigaom on behalf of the European Commission see that the app economy of applications in the next 5 years is capable of creating 3 million new jobs. Specifically, the report states that Cigaom 2013 employed 1.8 million with 800,000 in the area of marketing and support while those involved in the creation of applications at 1 million. In 2018 it is expected that application developers to increase by 1.7 million.
