Organize friendly competitions
Competition is always a good thing – it challenges people. It pushes people out of their comfort zones to reach their full potential. So, to imbibe a fun culture in your office, you can run a contest that will reward the team that can come up with a solution to a particular problem. The first one to prove their theory will work will get the prize.
Allow them to take breaks
Your employees are not robots, so don’t expect them to be productive if they work without taking any break. This is because breaks are the best way to decompress, refresh their minds and come up with fresh ideas to help solve problems. You can designate areas in the pantry, the reception room or outside the office where workers can take a breather.
Encourage socialization outside the office
Provide opportunities for your employees to collaborate outside the workplace. You can conduct team-building activities to help improve inter-office relationships. You can also treat your staff to an offsite lunch or dinner where you can mingle, talk and have loads of fun.
You don’t always need to hold extravagant parties. What you can do is to host a mini gathering to make employees feel that they are part of the success of the company. Celebrating will also help the staff spend time together and give one another a pat on the back for completing a task.
