Encouraging your employees to improve their performance

There are several theories as regards to how to encourage employees to improve their job performance. Some psychological studies identify several conditioning factors that affect employees in all their specific tasks. Some of these factors are most impressionable and can be managed at an organizational level, others on the management plan. In the first case it refers to the policy followed and the decisions that normally come from the company board that extend globally in the business organization, while the second case, instead, refers to the practice and decisions targeted to influence the method of work of a specific group.

The factors that lead a company staff to feel demotivated are usually due to poor condition of the working environment, lack of  production rewards, low pay, difficulty to implement company policy and uncertainty in the workplace. To encourage employees to improve, you should allow them to feel fulfilled in their work and it is necessary that the company is willing to give the deserved professional recognition, to be able to provide the means to grow professionally, providing, when it has to, the necessary training. In addition, it is very important to encourage the participation of employees in the corporate team, enabling them to feel a part of the active group and not mere participants.

When the motivating factors described in the previous step, are presented in an appropriate manner, they are largely able to encourage the employee to improve their performance and contribute to the staff’s establishing  a better attitude towards the various tasks that are given to them. A good manager is one who knows how to transmit the stimuli to their staff with their duties and responsibilities, giving them certain career opportunities and allowing them to take the necessary steps to achieve their own success.

The employer or manager must be able to address the real causes that can raise or lower the efficiency of the whole company, and they must be addressed at the root, if necessary, consulting with the corporate executive to solve this problem. You should meet and collaborate with employees, to highlight with their sides that are considered to be negative: it is the best way to try to develop appropriate strategies aimed at fostering the spirit of cohesion within the group. In this way, their individual productivity will increase and, as a result, the group will become more efficient and competitive.
